Hôtel des Cévennes

"Simple hotel in a great location high up at the pass. We stayed one night after a very hot day having come from Vallon Pont'Arc as part of a family cycling holiday. Helpful and friendly hosts. Straightforward meal and breakfast. We were grateful to be able to get some washing done here too! The day we left we had one of our best days on the bikes cycling to Le Puy en Velay staying high up on the ridges with fantastic views passing from the springs of the Ardeche to the origins of the Loire."

"OK, we might be biased because we cycled up from Le Cheylard and anywhere that offered cold beer and a meal would have seemed like heaven...but this hotel was perfect. The young couple who run it are cheerful and friendly, quickly fixed us with drinks and then served us a beautifully cooked meal. Rooms are simple but you will sleep well because the air is fresh, it being at an altitude of 1100m. So don't go expecting luxury, but you will be well looked after and be glad you made the effort to get up there!"

"Some time ago we went on holidays in the Cevennes. Last day we decided to stay one extra day so we stopped at this place to book a room. There was some available rooms but the person attending was clearly hostile and rude with us. So we left. Maybe it was excess workload at this moment (restaurant) ... Maybe something else... I don't care: this was inaceptable and unprofessional."

"Bikers and Hikers Place||This place is made for bikers and hikers.||It’s simple but functional and most important its spot clean.||There is a safe place for you bike under the roof, which is much appreciated.||Staff are very friendly and helpful.||Food is OK.||Overall a perfect place to have as base for several trips to the region."
