Château de Bessey-Les-Citeaux

"We were met by Marie, the charming acting manager of the chateau. We were shown to our room which was very large and elegantly furnished. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Marie made us a light meal upon arriving that was both delicious and unexpected. In the morning we sat in the big farm-style kitchen and enjoyed fresh croissants and brioche along with home-made jams and endless coffee. There were a few things that needed to be fixed up. The TV didn't work (no aerial connection) so we were unable to watch the France vs Germany game. The mosquitos were dense and ferocious in the evening so we had to spray our room and sleep with the doors and windows closed. However, the chateau is so special any faults seemed minor in relation to the experience of staying here."

"Lovely Chateaux with most of its original features. Very large room with balcony and a large window. Run by a very attentive and friendly family. A great pity that we could only stay one night but will return for a longer stay. Very clean (which must be difficult for a building from 1750) and a very nice breakfast in a lovely room and terrace overlooking the large established grounds and a peaceful relaxing setting."

"We just loved this cozy B&B in the french country side. The hotel is an old family run villa. The hosts are friendly and very kind! The bedroom was very spacious and wonderfully designed. The landlady has a thing for quilts and is very talented! A gem in the country! We stopped on our drive from CH to Paris! Will keep it in mind as a future stop over!"

"We arrived at 3am, which was not planned, but the owner got up and let us in. I remember two friendly doggies jumped on me and wanted to play. The little hungarian vizla followed us into our room, tiny little puppy!||The room was very spacious, simple, but nice. The breakfast was in the huge family kitchen, dogs and children wondering around. We sat in the garden, played with the puppy and children.||The owner was super friendly and chatty. The whole place had a very French feel about it, the huge mansion with massive staircase, slightly chaotic, but very authentic and friendly.||I wish we had more time to spend here!||The place is full of beautiful furniture, quilts, cushions and pretty stuff.||we loved it!"

"We stayed at the château over the weekend. It is a really charming place at a 20 min drive from Dijon. There is a private swimming pool ( we stayed there all day) and a great garden with beautiful old trees. Breakfast is good, Wi-Fi is OK but as the place is big it does not work everywhere. Great value for the money."
